What is the Lagree Method?
Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact full-body workout performed on the Megaformer — a patented machine that uses spring resistance and a moving carriage to keep your muscles under constant tension. Invented by Sebastien Lagree, it combines strength, endurance, core, cardio, balance and flexibility into one efficient 45-minute session.
It's not Pilates
Lagree is often mistaken for Pilates because both use a carriage-based machine. But Lagree was built on strength-training principles, not Pilates. The movements are slower, the resistance higher, and the intensity sustained — you work to muscle fatigue while protecting your joints.
| It's not Pilates | Lagree | Pilates |
|---|---|---|
| Tempo | Slow & controlled | Flowing |
| Intensity | High, to fatigue | Moderate |
| Focus | Strength + cardio | Mobility & alignment |
